Welcome to Torchlight Ventures
Elizabeth Ravencroft, daughter of the noble heads of the Ishgardian House Ravencroft, had grown tired of her life, limited within her house, and concealed under the foreboding shadows of her family. As such, she set out to make her mark on the world, independent from her family. With the idea of a contracting company in her mind, she sought out those who would know the line of work well, due to experience: a mercenary for hire by the name of Azrul Valker, and his work partner at the time. The three met at a small cafe in the Goblet and discussed the possibility of this company. After a lengthy conversation, they were both convinced to come on board the founding of this company, whose name was decided then and there as Torchlight Ventures.Enlisting the presence of a few more of Elizabeth’s former associates, including a discrete information broker by the name of Rikha Minhai, the group established themselves as an official, licensed contracting company, and rented out a small home in the Goblet to begin work out of. As their work increased, so too did the number of contractors, mercenaries, and tradesmen signing on for work. As such, it wasn’t long before Torchlight found itself in need of more space. As luck would have it, an expansion to the public housing divisions was imminent, and the group was able to secure a larger estate in La Noscea, which came to be known as the Sconce.Torchlight Ventures only continued to grow from there, hiring more employees while continuing to make a name for itself for its persistent and dedicated work performance. In light of their daughters’ success, however, Lord and Lady Ravencroft wished to conduct business with the group, and invest in their fair share of the profits. As part of a business arrangement between the two groups, a company accountant was sent from the Ravencrofts to Torchlight, a large, professional businessman by the name of Mister Gray. Mister Gray proved a key component to the continued success of Torchlight Ventures, later going on to work out a deal alongside Azrul to acquire a large manor back in the Goblet, which was given the name of the Brazier.Acquiring permission from the Adventurer’s Guild to draft its own leve board, Torchlight Ventures continues to offer its goods and services to those with the gil to pay for it. The group also finds itself looking for new talent willing to sign on for employment with the company.

Elizabeth Ravencroft
Elizabeth Ravencroft is heiress to the Ravencroft Foundation fortune, and is Director of Acquisitions and Trade to Torchlight Ventures. Adopted to an Ishgardian noble family, Elizabeth grew up studying various magical arts, noble forms of combat, social etiquette, classical piano, and various other things that were expected of her. After starting Torchlight Ventures with Azrul, she's worked tirelessly to help create something huge that she can look at with pride. Whether you're looking to buy, sell, or collect, Liz and the department of Acquisitions and Trade are the ones to talk to.
L'pipmu Kirk
L’pipmu Kirk was born and raised in Limsa Lominsa. Although culturally named to honor her family, she is city-state Miqo’te. Pip’s natural knack of understanding aether as well as her love of knowledge brought her to study Arcanum at a young age. She, now, is accompanied by a sapphire carbuncle named, Ceru. Being smart and organized, she first landed a secretary position within Torchlight, but as time went on she moved into a Director position, taking charge over contracts and the Hospitality department. She’s your go to Miqo’te concerning the Fire Pit, the events held there, as well as any new contracts that float through the doors.
Zahar Ryver
Zahar Ryver, raised Ala Mhigan, is used to being an oddity - from her accent to her race. Still, that hardly stopped the city-born rava viera from integrating into the messy life provided by both the squalid of Little Ala Mhigo and the gilded, statuesque halls of Ul'dah. Raised by a pair of Ala Mhigan refugees, she took to the axe and martial arts as easily as one might take to water, and quickly made a name for herself in the Ala Mhigan division of the Immortals Flames. A veteran of scores of campaigns, and one of their youngest squad commanders on record, she retired from organized soldier to pursue the life of an adventuring freeblade. After a storied career that's seen her across the world and back again, she's settled back where she was raised - signing up with Torchlight. She's quickly fallen back into her favorite routine, and currently works in tandem with Azrul Valker as his right hand in oppositions.
Seralos Faolan
Cafe owner, Arcanist, Lover of Carbuncles. Seralos spent most of his young life in Limsa Lominsa, learning the art of Arcane Magic from the Arcanists' Guild. He built connections to many merchants through his love of collecting books, and eventually branched out to food vendors and brewers to start his own Cafe, the Carbuncle's Cup. Through his business, he grew into a masterful trade contractor, leading Torchlight to approach the Miqo'te about a position as Overseer of Trade and Supplies. If you ever need specific supplies, bulk ingredients, or just someone to talk to, Seralos is your guy.

As with many things, each of these systems is constantly being adjusted and worked on based on the feedback we receive.
Torchlight Ventures uses a custom made d100 system for RP events. Both adventure and combat alike. Coupled with a character sheet, all of our members are able to customize their stats to fit their IC characters and able to perform roles compared to that found in FFXIV mechanically. Tank (Defense), DPS (Offense), and Heals (Support).
The Leve Board
Between major events, be sure to check out the company leve board for a listing of available jobs and prompts! Either gather a few people and use the prompt to spur on your own RP, or have an officer run a job that catches your eye for you! Whatever method you choose, there's no shortage of work to be done in a contracting company.
Earned as an exclusive currency to members of Torchlight Ventures, doing leves and larger jobs for the company awards Ventures, which can be spent in a special company store for all manner of helpful event based items, such as potions and elixirs.

application approval and community invitation!
1. Apply: Fill out the form above!2. OOC Discord Group DM: This is where you and 2+ officers from Torchlight are gathered together in a text only Group DM in discord! It's a casual discussion giving everyone a chance to check vibes, chit chat, and ask questions!3. IC Interview/Introduction: Should you be found a good fit for the community, you will be invited to the discord server and to the FC in game. And in order to get you ICly involved, an officer will have an RP session with you so your character can be ICly tied to the FC!
